This is the fourth book in a series on Bridge Squeezes and considers the positions where both defenders come under pressure, one in two suits and the other in three. 179 positions are shown as diagrams showing the cards remaining and how each position is played. There are also 256 examples which are drawn from several sources Ð the authorÕs own experience, friends, books, submissions, creations and newspaper articles. These examples show how the basic position was reached and the preparation needed to achieve it. Many of the examples, mostly in the more complex positions, were composed by Tim Bourke. He also had significant input in reviewing and correcting the drafts and has been a constant encouragement in this project.
It is widely believed that squeeze play is the reserve of experts and to some extent that is true but the author explains the basic concepts simply so that any competent bridge player can improve their skills in this area.
